Hello All

Being born to parents that were from Alabama, shaped a great deal of how I feel about life and "good" food. However, growing up in Ohio and later living in many Northern states including Syracuse, allotted me the opportunity to explore food in a different way. Despite the exploration, the quintessential "Southern attributes" and cooking are naturally inherent with me. My parents placed a huge value on education and maintaining a strong family oriented home life. Home life always included a solid foundation of communicating about things in our lives which was often shared over the most deliciously prepared home cooked meals. Inspired by mothers intellectual achievements and stellar meals, I became academically successful as well as a crowd pleasing cook. 

I remember vividly as kid, how everyone loved my mothers cooking. They even would encourage her to open a restaurant. I always crowned her as "the best cook in the world", lol! I never knew I'd later take interest in cooking. When I became and adult, I followed my mother's path of academic achievement which led me to acquiring three degrees including an MBA and several miscellaneous licenses and certifications. These degrees took me to over a decade of working in Corporate America. In 2017 living in Texas, I started to cook more genres and ethnicities of foods. I took an even stronger liking to the beautification of my home cooked meals. The more creative the dish, the more beautiful and clean the plating had to be. Everyone that tasted food I'd make, loved it. That inspired me to cook for more people, as well as invite friends over for dinners, and to post pictures of my meals to social media. Both of the responses were very positive.

By 2021, I traveled heavily back and forth to the Upstate NY area and decided I'd cater and offer meal preparation to people that I knew. I thought catering would be a good way to get my food in the spotlight. Boom, Savor was brought to the public. The catering jobs continue to grow so I've decided to put both my MBA and my cooking talent to use as a business venture. I am adding Rochester, NY to the roster with the hopes of becoming a true pillar of the community in the catering facet. It is safe to say that passion will drive you from all that you knew into a pursuit of faith and chance. It is my hope that Savor will serve you some of the best food in the area along with warmth and smiles from the owner and the staff.
